Sider is a multipurpose template with a fixed header on the left side of the page, built form GeneratePress Theme and GP Premium Plugin.

In this post, we will learn how to install and configure Sider Template!

1. Import Template

First, you need to activate Site Library Module in GP Premium.

Next, import Prime Template, See how to import GeneratePress Template in GeneratePress Site Library.

2. Site Title

Appearance > Customize > Site Identity

Site Title Color: Appearance > Customize > Colors > Header > Site Title Color

Site Title Typography: Appearance > Customize > Typography > Header

3. Menu

Menu includes Primary Menu (Home, Typography, Contact Me) and Social Menu

Edit Primary Menu

Appearance > Menus

Remove Menu Items

Primary Menu Color & Typography

Appearance > Customize > Colors > Primary Navigation

Appearance > Customize > Typography > Primary Navigation

Social Menu

Appearance > Menus

Appearance > Widgets

Social Icon Color: Appearance > Customize > Colors > Header

Newsletter

MailChimp for WP > Enter your API Key > Save Changes

To get API Key, log in to Mailchimp > Profile > Extras > API Keys > Create A Key

Limit Posts

First, disable Infinitive Scroll: Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog

Then, Settings > Reading

5. Footer

6. Single Post

Color

Post Title, Post Info (Date, Author, Category, Tag, Post Navigation): Appearance > Customize > Colors > Content > Heading 1 (H1) Color & Entry Meta Links & Entry Meta Links Hover

7. Contact Me Page

Contact Me Page has a contact form. To edit the form, go to Contact Forms > Contact Form 1

8. Performance Optimize

First, you should choose Good Hosting

Good Hosting will give faster loading speeds. I recommend using hosting at Cloudways (Vultr Server) or Kinsta. BeaverHero is also hosted here.

Second, install Swift Performance Lite Plugin (Free)

Activate, then Autoconfig
