(GeneratePress) Tasty Template Documentation

Tasty is a free blog/simple magazine template for GeneratePress, using GeneratePress Theme and GP Premium Plugin.

In this post, we will learn how to install and configure Tasty Template!

1. Install GeneratePress Theme & GP Premium

First, you need to install GeneratePress Theme and GP Premium (Plugin).

2. Import Tasty Template

Appearance > GeneratePress > Site Library

Scroll down > Hover on Tasty Screenshot > Click Details

Click Get Started

Click Backup Options

Click Import Options

Check on I understand that this step…. then click Import Content

If your site already has data, and don’t want to delete theme. Click Skip

3. Change Site Title

Appearance > Customize > Site Identity > Enter new Site Title > Publish

4. Menu

Edit Menu

Appearance > Menus

Remove Menu Items

Click Black down arrow > Remove

Change Social Menu Item Icon

Click down arrow > click Icon

Select Icon > Save Menu

Disable/Enable Search

Appearance > Customize > Layout > Primary Navigation > Navigation Search

Edit Menu Color & Typography

Appearance > Customize > Colors > Primary Navigation

Appearance > Customize > Typography > Primary Navigation

5. Blog Posts on Homepage

General

Appearance > Customize > Layout

There are many options, you can try them out to know what there are!

Colors (Blog Title, Post Meta, Excerpt…)

Appearance > Customize > Colors > Content.

You can customize Post Title, Post Meta (Date, Author, Category, Tag).

About Me

Newsletter (under About Me)

MailChimp for WP > Enter your API Key > Save Changes

To get API Key, log in to Mailchimp > Profile > Extras > API Keys > Create A Key

Frequently Asked Questions

1.I have configured email correctly, but no email sent from Contact Form?

Some hosting provider has blocked sending emails. You need to contact them to know this.

If they do, you need to setup SMTP!
