To create a user account in the WordPress website, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to WP-Admin –> Users –> Add New


Step 2. Enter user information

Password: Click on show password to create a password

Role: Administrator, Editor, Author, Contributor, Subscriber

  • Subscriber is not allowed to write
  • Contributor can write articles, but articles need to be approved.
  • Author can write and edit their post and can not edit other people’s posts
  • Editor can write and edit every article in website


Step 3. Click on Add New User. Done


In addition, you can also turn on Register User WordPress Function so that users can sign up for an account.

If you want to edit an User account in WordPress, follow these steps:

Step 1. Hover over an User account and select Edit


Step 2. After changing the information, click Update User
