Pointing Namecheap Domain to Server Using GridPane

In this post, we will learn how to point Namecheap Domain Name to Server using GridPane.

1. Login to GridPane

Go to GridPane.com > Click LOGIN

Enter your account > Click Login

2. Get Server’s IP

Here is your server IP. Click to Copy IP

3. Login to Namecheap

Go to Namecheap.com > Click SIGN IN > Enter your account > Sign In

4. Point Namecheap Domain Name to Server

Click Domain List

Click Manage

Next, click Advanced DNS

Click Add new record

Create 2 Record A & CNAME with info

Record A

  • Type: A Record
  • Host: @
  • Value: Enter Server’s IP
  • TTL: Leave default

Record CNAME

  • Type: CNAME Record
  • Host: www
  • Value: Enter your domain name (eg. example.com, beaverhero.com,…)
  • TTL: Leave default

Done. It will take 5 minutes to 24 hours for the update to apply.
